El propósito es conformar una buena selección nacional, inicialmente para intervenir en un torneo cuadrangular internacional que se desarrollará en Lima-Perú, del 25 de noviembre al 5 de diciembre, para luego participar en el campeonato sudamericano juvenil que se verificará en enero de 2013 en la ciudad de Mendoza-Argentina.
Sin duda la noticia le cayó bastante bien al futbolista que pertenece a los registros del club San José. "Me siento feliz por esta convocatoria, ahora estoy poniendo en orden algunos documentos de manera que no se presente ningún problema y pueda dedicarme a entrenar para demostrar mis condiciones al técnico Xavier Azkargorta", manifestó.
El entrenador de la selección nacional, Xavier Azkargorta, hace un par de semanas, llegó a Oruro para brindar unas charlas a los entrenadores y observar un partido amistoso entre el equipo de Oruro Royal y la selección orureña Sub-20, en la oportunidad, anticipó que le gustó el trabajo de dos jugadores, es el caso de Mario Parrado y Erwin Saavedra.
Sin embargo en la comunicación que llegó el viernes a la Asociación de Fútbol Oruro (AFO), se hace saber que sólo Mario Parrado fue convocado, "es un orgullo para cualquier jugador llegar a una selección nacional, en lo personal esta es mi primera convocatoria y no pienso desaprovecharla", anunció Parrado.
Este futbolista en la actualidad cuenta con 19 años, y tiene la experiencia de haber jugado en el profesionalismo defendiendo la casaca de San José en la pasada temporada, cuando el reglamento exigía la presencia de un juvenil en el campo de juego por 45 minutos. Lo bueno es que Mario Parrado, no sólo jugaba los 45 minutos, sino que permanecía por más tiempo en el terreno de juego e incluso muchos partidos jugó los 90 minutos, demostrando de esa manera que jugaba no por reglamento, sino más bien por méritos propios.
"Me inicié a los 14 años en el club Flamengo, tenía como entrenador a Juan Carlos Terrazas, luego pasé al equipo de Niño Quirquincho Feliz, después me fui a San José donde espero seguir aportando con lo mío y ojalá dentro de poco pueda ser parte del equipo titular", indicó Mario Parrado.
Con esa experiencia pretende hacer bien las cosas en esta su primera convocatoria, a pesar de que se trata de una preselección, de manera que Parrado, deberá demostrar sus condiciones para quedarse en la selección y luego buscar un lugar en el equipo titular, algo que no está lejos por las condiciones que él tiene.
